DR DANIEL JONES, BSC, PHD


SISTERLY Scientific Expert

Dr. Jones obtained his BSc in Biology with a Minor in Biochemistry from Millersville University and conducted biotech research at The University of Sciences Philadelphia and The University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his PhD from University College Dublin school of Medicine in Physiology with a focus on nutrition, metabolism and inflammation. Subsequent post-doctoral research funded by Science Foundation Ireland focused on the role of nutrition and inflammation in metabolic diseases.

As the son of two mums, Dr. Jones has a particular interest in female health and has developed a number of award winning nutritional formulations.

Susie Perry, BSc Hons, Dip ION


Food Scientist and Nutritional Therapist

Susie received a Food Science degree from Reading University and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the Institute for Optimal Nutrition, London. Susie has over 25 years' of experience as a nutrition supplement formulator, health writer, expert spokesperson and therapist.

Susie lectured on female health conditions and was a clinical tutor at three of the UK's top nutritional therapy colleges, is the author of 'Premenstrual Syndrome: The Essential Guide' and and spent six years as editor of the nutrition publications Nutrition i-mag, True Health, CAM Lifestyle and Natural Pharmacy Lifestyle. Over the decades, Susie has also formulated and helped launch a number of innovative nutrition supplements for credible UK brands.

Adrienne Byrne, BA, mNTOI, mSNA


Nutritional Therapist & Sport Nutritionist

Adrienne is a member of the Nutritional Therapists of Ireland and is a Sports Nutritionist. She is passionate about health and fitness and has a particular interest in female health and nutrition across all life stages, as well as nutrition to optimise sports performance. 

She is currently continuing her post-graduate studies as a Performance Nutritionist with the Institute of Performance Nutrition. Adrienne is an enthusiastic athlete who enjoys endurance running and ultra-marathons.

DR. MANDY LEONHARDT, MRCGP DRCOG DFFP


GP and Female Health Expert

Dr Mandy Leonhardt is a fully qualified and GMC registered GP. Mandy is particularly interested in women’s health, nutrition and healthy ageing. She specialises in the holistic assessment and individualised treatment of hormonal imbalances at every stage of a woman’s life, through PMS, perimenopause and menopause.

Mandy is co-author of “The Complete Guide to Premature Ovarian Insufficiency and Early Menopause”. She featured in the Channel 5 documentary “Women’s Health: Breaking the Taboos”, co-founded England’s first Menopause Café, and is a regular author, speaker and podcast host.

DR. MICHELLE HONE, BSC PHD


Female Health Nutritionist

Dr. Hone is a performance nutritionist who obtained her BSc in Sports Science and Health and PhD in Nutrition from Dublin City University She is a published author in several peer reviewed journals including the Journal of Human Nutrition & Dietetics, JAMD Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports Journal of Sports Sciences.

Michelle is the founder and manager of The Fit Clinic where her team of nutritionists provide tailored nutritional support to women with a particular focus on fertility.
